FAQ

1. How do I bring an issue to the attention of the Association Management Company and the HOA Board of Directors?

2. Are there City Ordinances that relate to barking dogs of noise?
Specific to barking dogs, this is a City Code enforcement issue, not an HOA enforcement issue (not in HOA Bylaws or Covenants), and is covered under LFUCG Code Section 14-71 and 14-72 specifically line 10:
"(10) It shall be unlawful for any person to keep or harbor within the urban county any animal, including, but not limited to, domestic pets, that repeatedly or frequently emits any sound, including but not limited to barking, yelping, howling, meowing, or squawking, or that otherwise creates a noise disturbance across a dwelling unit boundary, in such a manner so as to annoy or disturb a reasonable person of normal sensitivities."
You can contact the City and file a complaint about barking dogs here:
With this being said, it is often much more effective and timely to directly speak to the neighbor in question to have the barking addressed then contacting the City. The City will often only cite someone after many complaints, and can take awhile.
